Working with an AI assistant

ProposalKit connects to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for giving an assistant real tools instead of guesswork. Once connected, it works in your actual workspace — the same proposals and clients you see in the app.

What that looks like

• “What is my pipeline this month?” — reads your dashboard figures.
• “Draft a web development proposal for Acme Studio” — walks you through the builder.
• “Rename the Overview section to Why Work With Us” — edits the proposal in place.
• “Add six months of maintenance at 5,000 each” — updates the pricing and the total.
• “Mark PROP-2026-48213 as accepted” — moves it through the lifecycle.
• “Which clients still owe me money?” — reads outstanding balances.

Supported tools

What it cannot do

• Reach anyone else's workspace. Your key scopes it to your own proposals and clients.
• Create a proposal without your say-so. It has to show you a review summary first.
• Work in guest mode, which needs no account and therefore has no key.
